Terms & Conditions.

Davids Audio Video services will offer the following services to our customers, Weddings, birthday party video recording, Funerals, and christenings, transferring your photos, videos, and audio cassettes to DVD, CD, or memory stick.

Transferring video to DVD or Memory stick.

Transferring any 8mm, mini DV, or VHS tapes that you have made will be done at a good price. We only transfer 30 tapes at any one time. We will not transfer any copyrighted tapes of films that you can get on ebay or on the Internet.

Types of video we will transfer.

We will transfer any video within the UK law and will check if the law allows us to transfer any video before taking on the job. Videos we will not transfer are any pornographic videos or photos, anyone having sex or sex with children, anyone hurting other people or raping people as well as anything to do with drugs and we will send your name and address to the police.

Keeping copies

We do not keep copies of any tapes as they are deleted at the end of the transfer so if you need a back up let us know.

Care of tapes.

We take great care of all tapes and will not accept responsibility for any tapes arriving damaged and any tape that cannot be transferred to DVD. We also do not take responsibility for any media not working as It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the compatibility of their playback equipment.

Sending of tapes.

Sending tapes is the responsibility of the customer to have them delivered, we will send tapes back to the customer as 1st class post, or if the customer asks us to we can send them back as 1st class recorded delivery. The customer may also use other posted services or by making a time and date with me to pick up the order.

Recording service.

We plan with you your day to allow us to record all the small things like the bride having her hair and her make-up done. We will have a Zoom call with you or meet up at a coffee shop or some other place.

Video Copyright.

We will retain the copyright of the recording to prevent unauthorized duplication. If you require a copy, we will provide you with a master copy of the recording, and upon request, we can produce another copy for you. It is against copyright law for you to make a copy of your wedding DVD or memory stick. Therefore, you are not permitted to copy or reproduce it without our consent.

Copyright music.

We are able to use copyrighted music by buying the limited manufacture license which will cost you an extra £100 for up to 50 DVDs and with 25 mins of music being used on each one. We will still use Copyright-free music in your wedding and birthday party videos and have all the bird sounds and talking within the video so the video can show great sound, music, and dancing.

Some people like to have a joke by showing their bodies in the nude or it may happen by accident, if this happens we will cut it out or pixelate it.

The Highlight Video.

As part of my portfolio to showcase my work and abilities, I will create a 3-minute highlight video for all videos that I produce. This will serve to demonstrate my skills and showcase the finished product.

Any videos that are recorded with only half the money then when you pay the other half of the money I will then let you have your DVDs or memory sticks.

Payment

Payment for any work must be paid in full before the order can be done. For weddings and birthday parties, you may pay in weekly amounts before the event goes ahead. Once you then have paid in full we will send out the DVDs, memory sticks to you.

Refund Policy

If we cannot transfer your videotape to a DVD then you will get your money back for each DVD order and if we damage the tape at the business address you will get your money back. If the tape is damaged when it gets here then we cannot transfer it then we will give you your money back.

Wedding and birthday party Refund

We will only refund half your money for Weddings and birthday parties as you must let us know 2 weeks before the event takes place. You will lose the deposit you made when you asked us to stop the filming of your wedding or birthday party.

If Davids Audio Video has to stop the event as I can not get there then I will send your money back in full.

If you don’t show up to the event you ask to be filmed.

If we are scheduled to record an event such as a wedding, birthday party, music video, school play, or any other occasion, and you change the date or time without notifying us in advance, or if you fail to show up, we will not issue a refund. We will provide video evidence of our arrival and record the site to confirm our presence.
